Velike Vodenice is a settlement in the foothills of the Gorjanci range in the Kostanjevica na Krki municipality in eastern Slovenia. The area was traditionally part of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Spodnjeposavska statistical region.[2]
There is a small chapel with a bell tower above its entrance at the crossroads in the centre of the village. It is dedicated to the Mother of God and was built in the early 20th century.[3]
